Moreover, he believes, that many teachers, whose number is increasing every day, will find set forth herein, a complete and systematic method of teaching Harmony, based upon similar fundamental principles to those upon which their own teaching has been based, although, possibly developed in a more complete and comprehensive manner than that which they have been able to employ, owing to the absence of any book containing suitable graduated exercises.
