Reel Ear
Random melody generator used for musical ear training. You define a multitude of variables like number of notes and rests, speed, note and rest lengths, phrase lengths, octave range, etc… and Reel Ear plays an unlimited amount of random melodies based on your variables. Just by selecting a few notes and defining three or four different variables, the amount of possible melodies that Reel Ear can generate skyrockets into the millions, and the best part is that the musical phrases actually sound musical! Other ear training programs frequently use prerecorded exercises, which means that you can easily memorize them – if you are playing from memory, you are no longer training your ear. Because Reel Ear generates random melodies based on your variables, it’s impossible to memorize the melodies. In other words, you can never outgrow Reel Ear – use it from the start until you reach the top. Shareware program. Windows XP, Vista and Window 7 only, 24 MB. Discounts available for accredited music schools. For more detailed information about Reel Ear, screen casts, and FAQ’s, visit the website at Reelear.

TEFview displays, plays and prints tablature and sheet music available in TablEdit’s TEF format.
View songs that are available from the internet in TablEdit file format on your computer screen.
Hear the songs the way the author intended to have them heard, at any speed. Loop sections of songs, or even entire songs so that you can get the most out of your practice time.
Print the songs out so that you can have them handy in your gig bag, instrument case, or even in a binder for easy reference when you are away from your computer.

Installation
To install TEFview, you’ll need to unzip the TEFView distribution file and place its component files on your hard drive. This distribution file is a self-extracting archive and when you run it TEFview will be installed in a directory (or folder) called /tabledit32.
To run the program, double click on tefview.exe in your file manager, or create a shortcut to /tabledit32/tefview.exe using Windows.
If you want to print the musical stave or if you see boxes instead of musical symbol when you run TEFview, you’ll need to manually install the TablEdit True Type font (tabledit.ttf) that was included in the distribution archive on your system. Otherwise, you’ll get some strange symbols instead of the notes. TablEdit – TEFview website FILE NAME – tefv.exe – 426K Click Here for this Freeware DOWNLOAD Back to Top

Vocal Remover by Analogx – Freeware
AnalogX Vocal Remover works on the same principles that the hardware removers do – that in most instances vocals are equally mixed in both channels, and can be identified and therefore removed by simply changing the phase on one channel by 180 degrees. While this won’t remove vocals in all instances, it does work in many cases, and can sometimes be used to remove bass or breakbeat sections as well. Depending on the effects used on the vocals, sometimes the reverb or ambience of the vocals is left. Vocal Remover works on all versions of Windows, from Window 95 to Windows 7 and everything inbetween (including XP, Vista, Win2k, etc). Visit Analogx to read more and download.
